Somebody said that drag and drop function breaks when using bluetooth mouse or other accessibility devices on iOS/ipadOS. I experienced this too. Previously, I had to restart my device to fix it, but the issue would always return after a few minutes. It’s so annoying.

So, I’ve found a much better workaround to fix that.

1. Create a Shortcut: Open the Shortcuts app and create a shortcut to open the Shortcuts app itself. Add this to your AssistiveTouch top-level menu.

2. Create a Restart Shortcut: Create another shortcut specifically to toggle AssistiveTouch off and then on again (this acts as a "restart" for the feature).

3. The Fix: When the bug occurs, tap the first shortcut in your AssistiveTouch menu to open the Shortcuts app. From there, manually tap the Restart AssistiveTouch shortcut icon within the app.

Important Notes:

  • Don't skip steps: Do not add the "Restart AssistiveTouch" shortcut directly to the AssistiveTouch menu. If you trigger it from there, it will often just turn the feature off without turning it back on.
  • Check Settings: Ensure that "Perform Touch Gestures" is ON in your accessibility settings for this to work correctly.

Hope this helps anyone struggling with this bug!
