Small boot on that for a trip to B&Q
Hi everyone,
Sorry in advance for a long rant. Just looking for advice or anyone who's been through a similar experience.
I bought a pair of "Fendi" sunglasses with red lenses. They were less than €100, and I didn't bother paying for in-house authentication because I liked the style of them enough that if they weren't real I still would have worn them (I really regret this and would encourage anyone who's reading this to just pay for authentication).
When they arrived and I tried them on, the lenses seemed cloudy/distorted, I wondered if they were prescription or otherwise if more they were plastic that wasn't supposed to be used for eye lenses. So they weren't authentic but unfortunately weren't useable at all. I reported it to Vestiaire who sent me a shipping label to send them back.
It took longer than I expected for them to get it and now they're contacted me to say the box they received was empty (although confusingly they only said in the email the box was really light, but then in the images they attached they showed the empty box). I confirmed with them that the sunglasses were in the box when I brought them to the drop-off locker. They asked me for photos of the box before I sent it, which I don't have. I suggested they ask DPD for details of the package weight when it was received but they said because they received the package unopened they can't ask them to investigate??
I'm really upset by this whole situation. Has anyone been through something similar and gotten their money back? Tbh what annoys me most is there's no outcome of this where the seller who is selling dodgy merchandise doesn't get paid...
If you made it this far, thanks for reading.
