I'm a 17/yo self taught guitarist who's now sick of his beginner guitar and amp (squier strat and blackstar id core 40 V3), and since guitar pedals are pretty expensive for me to buy (I live in India), I figured I wanted to make one myself. I have an inclination towards circuits, electronics etc but have little to no experience making one myself. School has taught me a little about cells, batteries, resistors, capacitors etc, but I have no idea what they do in reference to a guitar pedal circuit. My father keeps telling me to think of a project we could do together, and i thought this might be a fun idea. So before I start, what are the absolute basics that i must know? How did you start, or how did you make your first pedal? what were the things you googled up or read in books? In short, where do i start?
