Hi folks, hope you all are doing well.

Just wanted some honest advice from people with experience.

I recently lost my job but luckily found another one. My old job was paying AED 3.5k, and this new one pays AED 5.5k per month. I joined around 3 months ago after previously working for one of their competitors for about a year.

Right now I handle tenders and have a decent amount of responsibility. My timing is 9 AM – 6 PM with a 1-hour break, 2 days off weekly, and sometimes I stay 30 mins to 1 hour extra to finish work.

I’m turning 20 this June, and I just wanted to ask honestly — am I on the right track? And is AED 5.5k considered a good salary for someone my age in the UAE?

For context, I’m Pakistani but born and raised in Dubai, currently living in Abu Dhabi with my family. I also did my schooling in Abu Dhabi and I’m fluent in both Arabic and English.

Would appreciate genuine advice from people who’ve been through similar stages.
