Okay, Hi I’m a lesbian, I work in hospitality and I have worked in this one place for 7 months now. I’ve been with my girlfriend nearly two years and I have yet to feel comfortable mentioning her to my older coworkers (40+). I’m F19, I’ve mentioned her to two younger colleagues (both early 20s) but I’d love to not fear slipping up and mentioning her.

For example, I told my boss I needed a couple days off as I’m going on vacation. She asked in front of the team what I was doing/any plans etc. I have another colleague who asked who I was going with- I’m going with my partner, but just said friend. Anytime I mention a guy friend they all get excited about it like I’m dating these guys?😂 Honestly I just want them to know and get it over with now? Or casually mention it. I think we have a pride event coming up and I’d love to mention it then when everyone is maybe more accepting? I don’t know. Need help! 😅
