We're in the early stages of our visa process, and already bought our human flight tickets to avoid higher future prices and want to arrange our pet transportation as soon as is possible.

We're hoping for a one-and-done flight to ensure the dogs (who are not used to boarding) spend as little time as possible in transit (will likely traz them before their flight) and arrive with or slightly after us so we can collect them once we land the day after our flight embarks.

I'm at the very beginning of my research for this but I trust people more than google results so has anyone else here traveled to or migrated to Belgium/Netherlands with large dogs and who did you use? How were they? Did it seem like a good experience for your pet? And most importantly was it safe?

Airfreight companies that also handle the vet requirements for immigrating pets to avoid quarantine would be good too.

I received my acceptance letter this week and I'm trying to get ahead of the Visa process (non EEU)

I have my updated passport, FBI rap sheet, everything squared away that I read would be required for the D-visa application but when I went to fill out the request, it's asking me things like a specific lodging (I dont plan to live in the dorms in part because I have pets) but I'm a full 5 months out from the semester.

Any advise on how to fill out this Visa form correctly to not incur any unnecessary delays since I'm already a bit behind schedule? Do I really need to set up permanent lodging from half a globe away, 5 months in advance? And what am I supposed to put in the "contact reference" section? Just the university?

Also if possible I'd rather secure more temporary accommodations in the fall so come spring I have a more well-rounded choice of rental homes that fit my personal needs and budget. Is this possible or do I as a expat (*ahem* hopeful migrant in 5 years) have to live only in permanent housing for it to count as residency?
