Big beach rods worth having?

I'm relatively new to fishing (have tried a bit over a few years, but with little success)! I'm in Western Australia and historically feel like you always saw a lot of people with monster 12 foot+ beach rods. Are these still worth having now, as I feel like you see a lot more people using lighter gear?

Looking through old LandCruiser pics

Just been looking at pics of my old 70 series LandCruiser troop carrier, was an awesome car and a shame to have to sell it! First pic is from the day I bought, last from when I sold it about 5 years later (for more than I bought it for!)

Deckee App for mapping

Curious to hear if anyone has used Deckee much for mapping and how they have found it? Mainly asking folks in Western Australia or the US as I think that's where they have the best sea floor mapping - but I think they have better coverage of depth charts?

Just starting out with boating, so want to try avoid doing an app switch in future once I've done more cruising around!

4wd fishing rod storage

Anyone got any fresh ideas for fishing rod storage on their 4wd? Have tried all the usual rod holders on the bullbar, reel off and rods in pvc pipe on roof racks, rods loose in the car, but they all end up being a bit of a mess.... Anyone found anything better that's the magic solution??

Curious to hear what people reckon about starting off dirt bike riding (and motorbike riding) in general with a KTM 500? Have done a fair bit of cycling and some mountain biking, but very new to motorbikes! Have got a mate who I can borrow it off for a bit and just wondering if it's sensible to learn on - or a bit too punchy?
