My 64-year-old sister lives with me. She has hemochromatosis diabetes and end stage liver disease. She went to Northwestern for a Tips procedure and by all means should be getting better now. This is not the case. She refuses to do anything that the doctors told her to do and after she came home from an assisted living facility where her job was to gain muscle strength, and some weight… Since she has been home, she has done absolutely nothing but laying in bed. This is despite my making meals for her, encouraging her to get out of bed, running interference for her with Medicaid… Which she lied about and told us that she was still on when she wasn’t so now we’re playing catch-up on some insurance. Honestly, I could do without anyone’s negative comments unless they have been in this situation… But I feel like a real heel… I have to constantly be on her about going to the bathroom and taking her medicine when if she had done the things she was supposed to do. She would be fine with that right now. I Am beside myself and I don’t know what to do and I need some help!
