im 23 and i’ve been wearing hijab since the age of 14. I live in an extremely hot country, and go to a university where there’s no air conditioners. I recently got diagnosed with lupus while i already have scalp psoriasis. Hence i’m on steroids, which also make you feel very hot. My doctor has told me my psoriasis might increase when i’m on medication. My antidepressants have already made me quite hot and now steroids are causing a psoriasis flare up aswell. Its just April and idk what will happen to the weather in june july and august. Im already dripping sweat everywhere if i go to a place with no AC. I have no idea what to do. Its unbearable these days. Due to my chronic fatigue, i’m unable to wash and dry my hair everyday. (Note: This is after topical steroids and scalp shampoo, i’m on it since 3 years now and this is the max we can go in terms of treatment) Has anyone been through such a thing before. I don’t wanna take my hijab off and i feel so bad. It’s already quite a lonely journey being diagnosed with lupus, now i’m being tested like this as well :(
