Hi I am looking to put money into a high yield savings account. I have around $4k in savings and $41k in 401k. I need to build up money to save for a car or have emergency fund. Is it a smart idea to put some or all of my $4k in a high yield savings account then put away a certain amount each month? Or after each pay check? Or will it be foolish of me to do so?

Hi I am a 34 year old female who makes $48,000 a year this goes down by $3000 because I have a health condition so it is more like 45,000 a year. I spend around a $1060 a month on utlities/rent. I have $4000 in savings and my parents are willing to chip in $3000 for a used car. I am wondering what price range should I stay in. My credit score is 771. I am visiting a bank today about getting a car loan how much should I ask for in this loan? And what interest rate could I be looking at? Also would I get better interest rates if I go to my local credit union? Edit: I have $42 k saved up in 401k. but I don’t want to touch it.

So I am financing for a used car. My credit score is 779.I was thinking of getting a car that is $15999. The lowest loan I can go for is 9% at 60 months which is $305 a month the car is 7 years old. I asked what it would look like for a 48 month loan and they said it would be 10.9 % at $375 a month. I dont understand why I can’t have a 9% loan at 48 months? Are they trying to rip me off?

Hi I am deciding between two cars right now currently I really like the 2018 Honda CRV I drove today I like the 2019 Chevy equinox as well and it is within my price range however I trust Honda more on reliability even if it is more expensive. I am getting a pre purchase inspection on the Honda CRV now.
