The hardcase that I got from the SG I bought last Saturday was in a rought shape. So I tried to restore it.

The syntethic leather are peeling on most parts, the velvet was also peeling and smell musty. I reglued the peeled velvet and the leather on the lid, dry clean the velvet with multipurpose foam cleaner. Now it looks good (at least if you look it from the top haha) and the velvet smells nice.

Picture 9,10, 11 are my remaining issues. In the bottom part it seems that the leather is not able to cover the woods again, I guess it was shrinking? Im not sure since Im not familiar with this material. For now I'll just left it like that and my next phase is to remove rust from the hinges and lock.

Yesterday I made a post and you guys confirmed that this guitar is genuine. Today I brought it home. Gibson SG Standard 1992

The bridge is in a rough shape, thinking to swap it with a local made brass replacement.
