I’m trying to build out my fx3 to have a monitor behind the lcd (where an external battery would be rigged) as well as to have a grip under neath the camera so that I can use it as a vertical rig as well. But I’m having a hard time finding parts to build it out like that. Any suggestions or do I have to sacrifice one feature for the other ?
I will be video recording a musical performance this upcoming weekend in a theatre and wanted to up my game. It’s not a paid gig but I’m hoping to improve my quality in what kind of content I can provide to the group. It’s a mariachi performance and I was thinking a standard directional mic I can attach to my hot shoe but after doing superficial research I saw people say don’t even bother unless I A) also record room ambience or B) hook up recorders to the mics. But I’m just really hoping to find a mic I can attach to my camera to capture the singers audio better. Or should I just set up a mic in front of me pointed towards the singer so I can capture room ambience on my camera mic. Any help is appreciated 😅
