Does braces on teeth pointing downwards push it down even more?

I got braces yesterday. Its been uncomfortable and hard to eat but not too painful. I have a deep bite, crowding on my lower teeth, and a straggle tooth right next to my two front top teeth. My two front top teeth point slightly downwards. I noticed the braces touch those too and the brackets if thats what they're called, are at the bottom of the teeth. It looks like its pushing the teeth down more. Is this normal? Should I go back to my ortho about this?

Also, I noticed that in the bottom row theres like, a tube in the middle part of the wire and It is kinda painful when i try to rest my teeth. Is that normal? I also feel so weird bc the sides of my teeth dont touch so it feels impossible to chew even with the back teeth. I just want to know if this is concerning enough to go back to my ortho.
