Possibly hypermobile - how to advocate for self at doctor
Hi friends. I'm just another internet person suspecting hypermobility. I do have an appointment with my PCP at the end of the month to discuss my concerns.
I am a neurodivergent... mess lol. I got diagnosed as ND a few years back and while I've gotten that sorted out.. it's time to focus on the physical pain. The connection is so weird
I am a very stiff person. I also cross my legs and sit in twisted positions all of the time. Weird sleeping. Constant neck pain. I've done this my entire life and now at the ripe old age of 33, I'm starting to feel the effects. My knee used to dislocate all of the time, ankle and finger joints pop, and new shoulder pain. Oh, I also believe I have an anterior pelvic tilt, so yay.
Here's the part I am worried about.. I am not bendy. I am not flexible. I do not have stretchy skin (it's actually quite thick). I know it's a spectrum, but I don't want to look silly/crazy to my providers. I really am struggling to figure out exactly what to tell my PCP.
I'm not /too/ bad.. yet. But I don't want to ever get there. I also have to consider, my mom has Ankylosis Spondylitis and it can be hereditary, although my symptoms do not align with hers.
My new Stardust Grey Moissanite and black sapphire ring came in today - and wow, she’s incredible!
I know they are not on the recommended vendors list, but this is my second purchase from them and I’m still thoroughly impressed. Their customer service is unmatched. I had some issues with the design initially and they worked with me until I was satisfied. They do not stop until you are 100% happy.
I got her from Doveggs this evening. They’re having a 20% off sale 🙂 and I am in love!
