FINALLY QUITTING!
i have the worst manager known to man (imo). he’s just overall awful. when i first started i went 2 over my marmots for the week ( it was like my 2/3 week) and he had me in the back having a conversation w me AND A SHIFT who he said she used her partner beverage over 30 minutes after her shift 6 WEEKS AGO. and told me if it happened again id be fired. i was like um? super unprofessional to have that convo in front of another person and the delivery was even worse.
fast forward to recently, so i had surgery on my ear for having mastoiditis and a cholesteatoma (google if interested not relevant rn lol) in 2024, and in february this year they found the cholesteatoma grew back and i needed another surgery so i was calling out almost every week for at least 1 shift. he then proceeds to tell me i need to take care of my health and in the same breath tell me i HAVE to take other peoples shifts when he needs me to bc they have done it for me and was making it sound like picking up shifts was in my job description (obv, it’s not.) so fast forward i had my surgery 4/10/26 and have been out since the 9th of april. i had a return date of 4/29, came back april 30th for a 2 1/2 hour shift. bs. i came in (mind you first time since surgery) and he starts GRILLING ME. “oh you can’t have your apron wrinkled like that on the floor” then called me several times that morning to get me to come in 30 minutes earlier for a training. i didn’t answer, and he (without me saying yes) changed my hours in partner hours and when i told him im not coming earlier, he said i have to stay 30 mins AFTER my shift to get it done! i told him im not doing that either! he got pissed and told me i HAVE to be available and come in when needed bc other people do it and have done it for me etc.
then when i told him before he went home for the day that i felt like i needed more time and wasn’t ready to come back he said “you better find you a sugar daddy then” im sorry what????? so after that shift i said fuck that, i called sedgwick and opened another claim to be out until June 2nd. thank GOD i put an application in for another job right before my surgery, we interviewed last tuesday and i got an email yesterday that i was hired. my manager is currently on vacation so i don’t even have to go back or see his stupid ass face again. once i get my actual offer package which is gonna be tomorrow, im legit just sending him a text saying im not coming back and he’s the reason why. literally fuck starbucks. fuck my dumbass manager, the stupid ass customers, and especially FUCK BRIAN.
