I’ve been using an HP 14s laptop for a while—honestly without realizing all the limitations it came with at the time of purchase. I mainly used it with an external monitor, keyboard, and mouse, but it started to feel restrictive. So I finally went for a well-deserved upgrade for my AI/ML and general coding work.

PC Specs:

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
  • GPU: ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16GB (was planning to get a RTX 5070 Ti but prices made me go with the RTX 5060 Ti)
  • Motherboard: Gigabyte B850m Force V2
  • SSD: WD Black SN7100 500GB
  • RAM: 16GB G.Skill Ripjaws S5 DDR5 6000MHz CL36
  • PSU: Cooler Master MWE V3 650W 80+ Bronze
  • Cooler: Gigabyte Gaming 360mm AIO Liquid Cooler

Peripherals:

  • Monitor: Samsung Essential S3 24" 75Hz (used mainly for work)
  • TV: TCL 43P7K QLED 4K (great picture quality after calibration; no issues with 4K gaming)
  • Soundbar: Creative Stage SE Mini (decent for now, considering upgrading to Edifier speakers later)
  • Mouse: Razer Viper Mini (5 years old and still going strong—no plans to upgrade yet)
  • Keyboard: Redragon K630 RGB (temporary; planning to switch to the MCHOSE G75 Pro soon)
  • Graphics Tablet: XP-Pen Star G640 (used occasionally for competitive programming/teaching)
  • Earbuds: Philips TAT1209 (good after EQ tuning; stock sound is average)
  • Laptop: HP 14s (Intel Core i5-1135G7, 8GB RAM) — planning to install Linux on it)

Suggest me how to light this setup on a budget.
