As the title says, looking for a game I played once around the mid 2000s once I was over at someone's house. I remember it was on PC where I played it.
Firstly, for art and graphic style, it was a 3d game, not cone-head type of 3d but in my memory and knowing more about games now, it feels and looks like it was a almost similar to Shadow of the Colossus, but with even higher res and definition. It also felt like it was more of a PC port from the PS2, rather than originally PC.
It was an RPG, surely, high fantasy setting.
If I had to pick some reference points, it'd say it felt like a cross between Shadow of the Colossus and Witcher perhaps. It had a grittier vibe than SotC.
As to what I remember of the gameplay, there's just a specific part I see vividly; I want to say it the beginning (not 100% on this), where the MC, who wears a dark attire maybe, starts on a dark cave and is trying to get out but the paths are blocked off by a collapse tunnel or boulder. The way out was through several nooks and crannies too small for the character to fit through but there was a special ability that allowed a transformation to some sort of lizard / reptile still big-human size, but slender enough that slithering through those gaps in the rocks was possible.
So that was the challenge to get out of the cave, to navigate quickly through the tiny space trying to reach the way out before the transformation died out. I remember it being seconds and not on a visible countdown timer either. Back then, I couldn't do it and so got stuck on that part and was spamming trying to get through it but think I didn't manage.
I can't ask that person because I didn't know the people there, since we were visiting a young person who I now know was on terminal stage of illness and thus to not be mindful of that, it'd wait outside and play that game while my family visited.
I also have the notion for some reason that the outside of the cave were simply grass plains almost like a game menu screen or for the title drop, but not even 1% sure on this one.
