How do you stop redness after a pimple from hanging around forever?

Not even the pimple itself at this point. The pimple leaves. The redness signs a long-term lease.

I’ll finally get rid of a breakout and then I’m left with this angry pink/red mark that hangs around for WEEKS like it pays rent.

And somehow makeup makes it look worse? Or flaky? Or extra obvious? Love that for me.

I had one of those painful under-the-skin pimples recently and ended up doom-reading skincare stuff at 1 a.m., including a guide on treating blind pimples, mostly because I was trying to figure out whether I accidentally made mine worse by touching it every six minutes.

But genuinely - what actually helps redness fade faster?

Azelaic acid? Niacinamide? Time and emotional suffering? Please tell me there’s something.

Suggest me a book that feels like wandering through an abandoned building in the afternoon

I read Piranesi last year and still think about the empty halls, the statues, the light coming through high windows. Not a horror book. Not sad either. Just that feeling of being in a large quiet space that used to hold people but now just holds dust and echoes. A museum after hours. A library that hasnt been touched in decades. A train station with no trains.

Does anyone know another novel where the setting is vast and empty and beautiful and the main character is just moving through it alone?

Okay so I've been staring at my coffee-stained teeth in the mirror way too much lately lol. Trying to decide between just grabbing another box of strips at Target vs finally going to a dentist and doing it "for real".

The strips are cheap and easy but honestly? Last time I used them my gums got all sensitive and the results were kinda meh after a few weeks. My friend went to a place and got the professional treatment done and her smile looks ridiculous now (in a good way).

So here's where I'm at – is the fancy dentist version actually that much better? Or am I paying for a nice chair and someone to tell me I'm doing great?

For people who've tried both:

  • How long did each actually last for you?
  • Did your teeth freak out with sensitivity either way?

I don't need movie star white. I just want to drink my iced coffee without feeling guilty every sip lol.

What's your experience? Talk me into or out of spending the extra money
