Hi. I’ll be passing through Portland on my way to Seattle in a rental car with my luggage in the trunk. I want to spend an hour or two having a wander around the city centre at midday on a Sunday. I was researching parking options and was alarmed at all reviews suggesting a massive problem with vehicle break ins. These reviews are all from a while back and I’ve read that the city authorities have invested in increased security at SmartPark locations. Was wanting to get an up to date view from local folks.

I also considered options like parking at Sunset and Beaverton and using MAX but I’m on a tight schedule and don’t want to waste time on back and forth.
