I am currently in my first year of a J-1 waiver. My wife was initially on J-2 status and is currently on H-4 status. She matched into a residency program that requires her to be on J-1 status.
Would it be an issue for her to get a J-1 visa stamp, given that she was previously on J-2 status?
I would appreciate any answers or similar experiences.
