PP Consultants / (or GPs) does this sound worthwhile?
Currently working as a sessional / self employed GP. I am looking at the possibility of consulting at a private hospital (outside of London). Initial consult fees would be circa £100 for a 20/30 mins consult. Room rental fee to be confirmed. Indemnity quotes seems reasonable.
I am trying to figure just out how worthwhile or not this would be as a GP. Just to clarify this work would be in addition to my other weekly clinical sessions (which range from £17k to £22k). It would be more so to diversify income streams and do something a little different. Completely understand that at circa £100 per consult the financial potential will be limited.
What would be your thoughts here. What else do I need to consider apart from indemnity/ room rental costs and secretarial support? Degree of interest in private GP appointments?? How booked up clinics will be? Doesnt seem there are many insurance providers that recognise GP speciality currently - so would be limited to self paying patients!
Completely inexperienced in this area so any thoughts would be appreciated 👍
