New Keyword Definition:
Point Defense Gauntlet (n)
This model gains +(n) Armour (AR). This model loses this keyword if it receives a wound. At the end of the round, if this model has not received a wound this round it regains this keyword
*A model with this keyword cannot benefit from the item "Hardlight Shield"
I was trying to balance these against ODSTs but, since they had better weapons and I really wanted the Snipers to have a range of 3 because of the trauma of the games, I think they would be priced around the Mid 30s. Kig-yar have extremely few weapon options if we pull only from the games otherwise almost every version of the kig-yar only use Needlers or Plasma Pistols so I took a few liberties but every weapon has a basis in the lore or games so I think thats cool. (I got the name of the Energy Cutlass wrong but might call them Painglass sabers cause that sounds way cooler)
I played 7 (2 freebooters, all 3 raiders, FR and NR Sniper) kig-yar against a team of Gungnir, Hammer CQB, and Deadeye in Slayer and I feel that they performed about as well as ODSTs in my experience, averaging a kill for every 2-3 kig-yars. I originally had all of them with Evade but I didn't feel like it was super fitting and they rarely got to benefit from it. I do think they need another keyword but I don't know what else would fit. I think the Contiuous Fire weapons are cool because they can be a bit better but can cause a wound which can break their PDG, (not exactly realistic to the game but I feel to keep the keyword simple its whatever). Lastly I disallowed the Hardlight Shield simply because I think its dumb if they were wearing 2 arm mounted shields and carrying weapons
What do y'all think, and what would your guesses for point values be?
Edit: For some reason it removed 2 of the stat blocks, a Freebooter with a Needler and a Sniper with the Stalker Rifle... I guess their back now
