Sound post repair - NYC
My bridge fell today and made the sound post fall with it :( and I need to get it reset. Anyone in NYC can help? Someone trustworthy and that won’t charge me too much. Thanks!

My gyno was able to clinically diagnose me based on my symptoms (extreme pain, vomiting, irregular bleeding, back and leg pain, fatigue, GI issues, etc etc etc you all know.) and we are coming up with a plan for next steps, which mostly includes how to manage my symptoms.
She is suggesting a Mirena IUD as its reported to lesson the pain by up to 70%. I know it’s very common to prescribe BC for endo, just curious about everyone’s thoughts / experiences on that. Is it effective / is the pain management worth it?
She also said I COULD get an MRI, but that it’s not always guaranteed to be covered by insurance and she thinks it would only confirm what she already thinks. She also said MRI’s can be inconclusive for young people. So I’m wondering how necessary it is. I’m so lucky that she is taking me seriously and not making me jump through hoops, because I know many of you have gone through hell to get diagnosed. My question is, would the MRI really change my next steps? If not, is it absolutely necessary? I know it would show which stage I’m at/if I would need LAP. I don’t think I’m quite at that point yet, but I also know stages of growth don’t necessarily coincide with pain levels.
Lastly, regarding the IUD, she said because of my irregular bleeding patterns I would qualify to go under sedation to get the IUD inserted, and to have a Hysteroscopy done. This way they could get an endometrial sampling. I’m wondering how necessary / helpful this will be, as endo often grows outside of the uterus. I have heard how painful IUD insertion is and am definitely considering this option.
We have another appointment to discuss all of these options further. Should I pursue the MRI? Should I pursue the Hysteroscopy? Or should I just take the IUD and wait it out? I’m open to thoughts, experiences, suggestions, etc. Thanks in advance!!
