Partial refund of health surcharge after being granted citizenship?
Hi all,
I paid for 5 years of a health surcharge under a ancestry visa and then became a UK citizen after 3 1/2 years.
Can I apply for a partial refund for 1 1/2 years of the IHS?

Hi all,
Looking for information about how to apply for the healthcare surcharge refund after a successful 4L application. Details of my case: I entered the UK and paid a health surcharge for 5 years under UK ancestry Visa. Last December I was granted UK citizenship under 4L. Now I want to apply for refund of health surcharge - multiple people (including a solicitor) have told me this is possible but not automatic - you have to apply for it.
Questions:
Looking for the actual process of how to apply for refund. What is the website to do it through?
(I have seen the link refund for working in the health and social care and if I had EU healthcare, but not for this particular situation)
If someone has done this, what did you write to apply for it and were you successful?
