I’m in my mid 20s and I just graduated with my bachelor’s in business administration. I have experience as an administrative assistant, office work, and as a social media manager. I currently do not have a job.
I cannot land a single interview. This has never happened to me before in the past.
I write cover letters, attach my certifications/ degree transcript, have a nice resume, use company referrals, use references, hell I even call to follow-up sometimes. I’m at the point where I’m cold emailing. The temp agencies are dry in my area too. My city is not super large, but I’m also worried relocating would put me in serious debt. I have no family members who can help me. I have a LinkedIn and I’ve tried multiple job sites. I try to apply on company websites when possible.
I’m well aware that the economy and job market are absolute garbage.
I genuinely don’t know what to do at this point. Luckily, my partner can support us for now, but our living situation is not something I want to continue long-term.
What do I do? Should I make my own business? Should I volunteer to get more experience? Is there a certain organization I should be reaching out to? I’m going to try reaching out to the older people in my life to see if they have any leads. Any advice?
