Is there any evidence of assimilation into different races?

In history it’s extremely common for different ethnic groups to gradually assimilate into others over time, (see: Mongols and other nomadic invaders into Chinese culture, the Turks assimilating the Greeks of Anatolia, who in turn assimilated the previous Anatolian peoples, etc.) And given that for all intents and purposes all Men and Mer are the same species,

I’m curious if we have any examples of, say, Nords under the Empire gradually adopting Imperial culture and over generations being regarded as Imperials, even if their ancestry is nearly entirely Nordic. Or the inverse, perhaps an Imperial settler population in Skyrim may eventually adopt the culture of the Nords and be considered Nords, even if they are genetically Imperial.

The same could go for Elves, even if their more Xenophobic cultures make this less common. I’d imagine the Altmer obsession with genetics makes this sort of thing rare, but would the same apply to the Bosmer and Dunmer? What about the Orcs?

Obviously I’d imagine this is a lot less common for the Beast races, but I could imagine there being a scenario where non Saxhleel are transformed into Argonians via Hist magic.

I did a playthrough of the game with the TTW version of this and am curious to see what others think of it, especially since this game tends to get a lot of shit for the writing and rpg mechanics.

I was personally pretty impressed with what the author was able to do, although there were a couple of bugs and some iffy voice acting. Theres also some more Enclave content which may or may not be “canon”, but it does add more choice to the game. I’m more interested in hearing if anyone else has played with this mod, and how it addresses the problems with Fallout 3.
