Hii, Im an international med student and i just got accepted to charles hk and waitlisted for semmelweis (ill retake it). But i cant choose between these two unis. As far as im concerned, both have very similar education levels/quality. I think charles is higher in world rankings but its not even that relevant.
What i would like to learn is;

1- Which country is better? Hungary or Checz??
I think budapest is definitely better than Hradec Kralove. HK is too small from what ive seen and is like a village😭😭 So i feel like id definitely have a better student life in budapest (plus, semmelweis got the best student life award in 2023) I also heard some people say that checz people are so rude if you dont knkw their language.
ALSO i read a comment on reddit that said since HK is so small, it can be toxic really quick and become gossipy. I hope thats not true😭

2- Which uni is more international friendly?
Ive heard negative things abt both unis but everyone has different perspectives at the end of the day. And usually people only talk out loud when they need to complain🤷🏻‍♀️

3- Education level and the faculty is really important for me. Charles HK has its OWN hospital (which is think is a BIG advantage for clinical) plus, a brand new building is being made. I dont really know about the quality of semmelweis faculty.

4- Ive heard on reddit that charles is not really international student friendly and that many professors dont have proper english which would be A HUGE problem for me. Plus, they have a really high drop out rate so this made me a little nervous ngl.. But i also read similar things about semmelweis and that some professors really make you fail to get extra one year of tuition fees or make you lose your scholarship which is not ethical at all.

I got accepted from Charles as i said but im not sure if i should still try for semmelweis or not. (Or what would i do if i got an acceptance from semmelweis) So can someone going to one of these schools help me please?? You can dm me if you want. I just need a student pov and insight abt both of these universities (negative OR positive) because im SO confused rn and dont know what to do and this gives me so much anxiety🙏🏻

Hi everyone, I have my oral exam on Saturday. Do universities usually respond on Saturday/Sunday, or do I have to wait until weekdays?

Does anybody else have semmelweis online written exam tomorrow?? (on april 30th)

As far as i know, semmelweis has rolling admissions. I will take written exam on this thursday and oral on saturday. Do you think im too late? I saw a few people saying that as the deadline time approaches, it becomes harder to get accepted. Is that true?

Hi everyone! I’m planning to take the Semmelweis online entrance exam and I had a few questions about how the process works. I’d really appreciate it if anyone who has already taken it could share their experience 🙏

***Is it possible to use two different devices, for example, showing my face from my computer while taking the exam on an iPad? Because i found it relatively hard to do questions on computer.

-Can i use paper and pen while solving the questions? Like the calculation questions on chemistry

-During the exam, can you go back to previous questions and change your answers?

-Is the proctoring done via Zoom in a group call, like everyone in the same room being monitored at the same time?

Does anyone know where i can find any past paper for the entrence examination for Semmelweis university (english medicine). Ive seen people talking about some drag and drop questions. I have no idea what they are

The Semmelweis entrance exam is scored out of 80 points. On average, how many questions do I need to answer correctly to get accepted? I have an exam in a few days, im so stressed
