I've created a denim patchwork fabric that I'm really happy with and want to make it into a skirt. To keep bulk down and due to a limited amount of fabric I sewed the patches together at a narrower seam allowance. But to protect the seams and make it more comfortable to wear I was thinking about adding a lining (and possibly interfacing). However, I never see any denim skirts with linings.
If I do line it, what fabric should I use? Why aren't denim skirts usually lined?
