You know that feeling where your heart just shifts gears the second they walk into the room? I’ve never felt anything like this before. For the longest time, I was always the one initiating—the first to say 'hi,' the one craving any bit of attention—until it just got awkward. So, I backed off.
But then, out of nowhere, he was the one who approached me. He actually teased me for not noticing him! I was so shocked and happy that I basically ran toward him for a hug, and he met me halfway with a smile and a side hug. He even initiated another one during our break.
The 'delulu' part of my brain is working overtime because he’s done things like kiss my forehead during a drinking session and even drops a casual 'I love you' sometimes. Even though I know he doesn't mean it that way, it still hits hard. But I’m staying grounded. I know my boundaries and I know where we stand. I think I’m just going to love him from a distance until these feelings eventually fade.
