Hi, I’m a new sewist and I’m trying to find pattern blocks for my size. I’m too tall, busty and hourglass for the standard patterns. I’ll give my measurements below. If anyone can advise where to get patterns for my size I’d be so grateful.

• height 5ft10
• bust 46
• underbust 38
• waist 38-40 (swollen belly from SIBO) without swelling it’s a 34-36
• hips 46
• shoulder slope 16% with big trapezius muscles

My torso is long and the patterns don’t cover my size. Even with adding the extra 4 inches to the waist length on patterns and the 2 inches from bust to shoulder, I still end up with badly fitted patterns. My shoulder type is square athletic, so I find standard pattern also gape at the back of the armhole and at the front in the upper bust area. I also end up with sway back from normal patterns.

I really need some advice /suggestions on where I can find a pattern block to work from. I’ve tried freesewing and I’m still not getting quite the right fit. Either too much ease or those baggy front and back upper areas with shoulders that pull incorrectly plus the sway back. I know that once I have a pattern block that works for me with a Princess seams version and a dart version, I’ll be set to adjust and make anything else I want after that. I just want a basic bodice at this point. Thank you for any help or links etc. 💕

So my sugar cravings and compulsion to eat sugar were being driven by fungal overgrowth in my intestines (SIFO). This developed for me due to the excessive use of prescribed PPIs for GERD, after having a stomach bug in Egypt and lots of antibiotics. The meds lowered my stomach acid and allowed the candida to thrive. Since I cleared the candida by fixing my stomach acid, I no longer have sugar cravings. All that noise is gone out of my head. I also had a positive stool sample for candida before I started working on my gut.

So if you are having major sugar cravings to the point where they are driving you crazy, it might not be an addiciton, but moreso a biological hijacking. The yeasties can send signals up the vagus nerve and release chemicals to give you cravings.

I hope this helps someone.
