I really think they could. I am imagining Gabriella saying “it was just a phase!” because kids have goth phases all the time. I also maybe think something in her home life could’ve triggered her goth phase because it’s unusual for someone to change drastically that quickly. Atleast there’ll be many more seasons which she could appear in
