Long Term Partner doesn’t want to live with me (M26/M27)
My (26M) partner (25M) have been dating for 6 years, he recently told me he doesn’t want to move out with me and instead wants to live on his own first before committing to moving in with me. He says this has nothing to do with me and is due to wanting his own space for awhile as he will be moving out from his family home and something he hasn’t experienced before. This is really heartbreaking for me as this is something we have dreamt of and spoke about for years and now that we were reaching our savings goals and looking at properties he’s now told me this. I feel completely blindsided by this and upset because I would have thought after 5 years he would be leaping at the opportunity to finally move out with me. This also really disrupts my plans as i was also really looking forward to moving out of my family home and can’t afford to do so on my own - and my own partner doesn’t even want me to live with him
I really don’t know what to do or say. How do i approach this?
