Dorinda’s John is creepy and I’m shocked the women aren’t more upset about it beyond the first season he’s in

His behavior seems similar to Aviva’s creepy dad. s10e4 Carol is wearing that fake tattoo body suit with a black low cut jumper(?) over it at Ramona’s dinner party in the hamptons. John goes “you don’t even need to wear that” and pulls down on the top of the jumper to the point she had to quickly grab it back up. Thats really creepy. She probably wasn’t wearing a bra and those tattoo body suits are usually pretty sheer, he definitely saw her tits if not briefly exposed one of them to the room. I’m half these people’s age and extremely liberal and i would absolutely be half naked at a club but I would never partially pull down someone’s clothes even a close friend at a club. He did that in a 60 year old ladies home in the Hamptons with a bunch of people there. and everyone just showed up it’s not like there’s an alcohol excuse this early wtf. And no one really said anything it was just lol don’t do that!

Do landlords accept student loans as income for housing here

Any particular property managers or websites I should look at that are more open to accepting students who don’t work full time?

I’m in a bit of an unconventional situation, left my six figure job a couple months ago to get a second grad degree and switch careers. I have significant savings allowing me to cover my living expenses for the next year (if I move out of my expensive apartment when the lease ends in a few months..). I will also start getting student loans in a week or so. I‘ll be doing some independent contractor work bringing in $2k/month as well but evidence of pay is just bank statements.

I used to live on the east coast when I did my first grad degree and I think I had a guarantor for my first cockroach infested studio and then got a tiny “luxury” studio in a big Greystar building where the rent was really discounted during covid so I guess the student loans alone were high enough “salary”. Not sure how it works around here, ideally I’d be able to look at the $2k one bedroom range.

I tried applying for one bedrooms in Alamitos and bluff park area that were around $1.8k-$2k and was rejected bc I didn’t have recent enough pay stubs and they wouldn’t consider the big payout I got recently as income. So I’m wondering if having student loans will count as income / make landlords more likely to accept me, although the loans certainly won’t be 2.5x rent. The one studio apartment I was approved for was god awful and smelled and I just applied to understand how shitty of an apartment I had to look at.

I’m already resigned to the possibility that I’ll just end up finding a shitty studio w no parking and a landlord that doesn’t scrutinize applicants much. It just feels absurd that I’m paying over $3k in rent now and can’t get a landlord to approve me for $2k rent. I’m considering going back to my profession just for paystubs to move but it just seems really idiotic to work a grueling six figure job just for approval for like $1.8k rent and I can’t seem to snag a more chill lower paying job despite tailoring my resume

and before anyone chimes in…yes I should’ve figured out my housing situation for the next 2.5 years before quitting my job and yes I shouldnt have moved into this over priced apartment but this all made sense at the time and circumstances changed bc my ex just never got a job to contribute to the rent blah blah shitty relationship story.
