Keyboard input delay mid-round — started after a recent update

Title: Keyboard input delay mid-round — started after a recent update

Hi, I've been experiencing a keyboard input delay issue in CS2 that started exactly after one of the latest game updates. Before that update, everything worked perfectly.

The problem:

Mid-round, movement keys (W, A, S, D) respond with a noticeable delay both on key press and key release. The game registers the key being pressed late, and also registers it being released late. This directly affects character movement and makes the game unplayable at critical moments.

The same delay also happens when typing in the in-game chat: letters appear with a visible delay.

What I've ruled out:

- Not a hardware issue. I use a high-end ASUS ROG Low Profile keyboard (~€200) and tested with a second different keyboard — same result in CS2.

- Does not happen in any other game. Tested dozens of games, the issue is exclusive to CS2.

- Snap Tap / Speed Tap has always been disabled.

- Disabled Steam Overlay for CS2: no change.

- Windows Game Mode: disabled.

- Cleared CS2 and DirectX shader cache, verified game files, forced shader recompilation, increased NVIDIA shader cache size: no change.

- Not a network issue: net_graph 1 shows no choke or loss spikes when the delay occurs.

My setup:

- Keyboard: ASUS ROG Low Profile

- GPU: NVIDIA

- CS2 running in true Fullscreen mode

- Raw Input enabled

- Snap Tap disabled

Conclusion:

The issue is reproducible with any keyboard, exclusive to CS2, and started after a specific update. All evidence points to a bug introduced by Valve in how keyboard events are processed in the Source 2 engine. Please investigate.
