I have 40 hours in this game and I genuinely can’t ever get over 6 kills. My average games I am going like 6-13. I don’t know what I am doing wrong. I wait and then headshot instantly, I rush in, headshot instantly. I do nothin headshot instantly. I don’t know what to do. Everyone I ever play against is just better than me at this game. You think after playing for 40 hours I would be somewhat decent but my aim hasn’t improved at all. I hate the AK with all of my heart it feels like the most inaccurate gun in the game to me.

I just want to say that I understand that Competitive and Premiere are the two "hype" gamemodes that most players probably try and engage with. But I personally really like deathmatch and just having some "fun" but the gamemode is absolutely unplayable now. It's all filled with bots, who walk like bots but somehow always manages to do a instant 180 headshot on you the millisecond you reveal yourself. Even shooting you through fences, gates and similar. It is so common where it happens LITERALLY every deathmatch lobby you get matchmade into and even worse, it completely ruin the experience for new players like a couple friends that I got to start playing CS. Who wanted to play deathmatch as they can't enter Premiere yet and just being welcomed to the game by meeting bot heaven is kind of wild. Now you can always say "Just play Casual" or even Comp but Deathmatch is literally on the front page and one of the very few gamemodes the game has to offer yet it is so utterly unplayable, when you load into deathmatch it looks like you are playing a game that hasn't had any support or anti cheat operating for the last 15 years.

I started playing this game around late last year and I've gotten to around 5k elo with 240 hours. (I'm on OCE servers). I feel like I am playing pretty well but I stand no chance against people above my elo range. What routines/things I should look out for do I do to improve at the game?

What metric can the game use to accurate measure solo-queue skill?

Right now if you want a high rank, you need 4 other similarly skilled players to achieve and maintain that rank. I just want something that says I'm good even though I'm in the shitter rank because I don't have friends who take the game as seriously as me...

I know the rifle spray patterns, instant smokes, full executes--for every map. I even make my own lineups sometimes. And when I dip below <10k I start to notice these players know less and less of that. I just want the game to improve for solo queuers.

And before you say faceit: no. I'm tired of their shit servers. I stopped playing months ago because of the rubberbanding/netjitter.

I have partied with a friend twice in the past 5 days, who is queuing on an account to play with other friends who are new. He is not cheating and we have no way or no one to prove it too, except the VAC ai.......

How is it okay for an AI anti cheat to place me on a SEVEN day cooldown for queuing with no one who is cheating? This is ridiculous and Valve needs to figure it out. Spamming through smokes with AKs happens in arguably every game and if this is the bar to get a player banned, something is cooked.

Is it mass reports? If so what do I do? Ask him to play worse? And don't come in the comments and say he' lying to me. He has 0 cheats on his computer.

I hope Valve sees this because I be spending money on this game only for it to be turned around and spat in my face.

Edit: Not sure how actually correct this is but, we play Valorant and kernal anti cheat isnt flagging him or anything. I dont believe that valve has a more correct anti cheat. Vanguard would absolutely identify and ban a cheat if Valve does.

Edit 2: im not going to link his account stop asking. I understand its incriminating but 1: not my account 2: I am not going to place his main account with years of shit on it in the crossfire. His alt account is young playtime as he ONLY uses it to queue with this group of friends as its 4 new players. Dont expect him or us to want to queue with anyone above silvers thats… silly…

Edit 3: I guess my mistake for expecting any "help" but.... I guess its considered smurfing so thanks for the help. My bad for ya know, trusting my friend. Glad to see the internet is as skeptical as ever! Options are: dont play with my friend, or play with him and either play with his main and get stomped, or his alt and get a cooldown. Neat...

And the reason for the ban was because my irl friend was closet cheating. I’m new to cs and I can’t lie the first time we got banned I knew he had cheats but I didnt know the whole party would get banned so I just took the L. After the 20 hour cool down was over I brought prime a few days after, so I made it clear with him that I didn’t want him cheating when playing with me cuz I actually spent money on this game now but little did you know he got us banned again along with my other friend with a expensive inventory and this ban got me mad cuz he was closeting and I literally just brought prime. Fast forward a week later when the cooldown was lifted everything looked good for 2 weeks looked like he learned his lesson. I thought to myself ain’t no way he would cheat again, we done spent money on skins now, got a couple weekly drops ain’t now way he would cheat, especially when there’s a month ban at risk. but silly me thinking he wouldn’t be so selfish he got us banned again and now I’m on a month cool down and never once was because of me. should I just make a new account at this point ? And my b I guess I just wanted to vent about this on here idk

Normally I'm a very good AWPer, but when I started improving my rifle-ing skills it feels like I can barely hit a shot. How can I improve with the AWP to where my skills were before while also staying good with rifle-ing?

The name of this gamemode is called deathmatch. You and other bitch ass people get together in a lobby for 10 minutes and the goal of the gamemode is to see who can collect most of the kills at the end. There are things that are expected to happen in this gamemode: Have fun (of course), and as the name suggests, kill people and die as much as you possibly can. You'll get shot in the back, you may even die in a continuous cylce that lasts 7 to 8 times, but as Omar once famously said in the Wire: "All in the game yo!"

Who in the name of dear almighty God said: "Hey these people are dying too much (DEATH-match btw) so it might not be user friendly (again DEATHMATCH, does it sound user friendly to you?), let's add A 10 FUCKING SECOND INVISIBLE INVINCIBLE TIMER THAT IS SO GOOD YOU CAN TURN AROUND, FUCKING CROUCH (I repeat, FUCKING CROUCH), TURN AROUND 360 DEGREES AND BANG MY WHOLE FAMILY TREE AND SHOOT THE OPPONENT BEFORE HE EVEN GETS THE CHANCE TO SHOOT YOU, THAT WILL BE SO EPIC AND COOL HAHAHA ISN'T THAT RIGHT MR JOHN VALVE, PLEASE STOP MAKING ME WORK ON THIS GAME I CAN'T STAND IT ANYMORE"

I think I got a tad bit carried away, let me repeat the name of this gamemode a bunch of times to calm myself down a bit (DEATH-match, DEATH-match, DEATH-match oooh that already feels so better)

Oh and this "feature" has been in the game for 10+ years. Just to add this.

Now let me smell the first comment on the post. "Bbbbut Mr. Op, we already have better deatmatch experience with removed features like this, why don't you go and play that?"

Firstly, let me respond with my fullest dearest heart full of love, go fuck yourself.

Why? I understand why you say this. You look at something the community made and say "Hey, why play official X when community X the same but better?"

And we can draw the parallel between Premier and Faceit and say: Yeah that's that.

However, let me explain why this is not a fair comparison

Community deathmatch: You go in there, play it for 10/30/60 minutes (or more depending on your goals) and go into Faceit/Premier after that. That's the only goal of this mode. You can also join to shoot and relax however 80% of people go there as a competitive warmup.

Official deathmatch: Sucks ass, everything about community deathmatch is better however THERE IS A GOAL HERE. THIS IS A GAMEMODE. I MIGHT EVEN WANT TO HAVE FUN HERE. I MIGHT EVEN WANT TO GRAB THE FIRST PLACE FROM TIME TO TIME. There is a point system. You can go classic AK 47 or you can sometimes risk it by going with the bonus round. Certain weapon kills have more reward compared to the other etc. etc. It's build like an actual gamemode that is supposed to mean something. Why isn't it recognised like that?

I always hated how every time somebody complained about official deathmatch they just get told to go to community ones. The community ones aren't build for that. Sure you can grind this community rank that is held by a person who spends 10 hours grinding deathmatch in hopes of getting a call from G2 or something but that's not the point. It's not build for that.I want to have fun sometimes. I want to compete for this first place that means virtually nothing and get along with my day. It shouldn't be that deep.

I don't understand why can't we have 2 different deathmatches, one as a warmup for Premier while the other an actual gamemode you are supposed to play. Why does it have to be this "Either a striker or a left winger", why not have both? They both serve a different kind purpose that should be acknowledged the way it is.

Yeah rant over, I don't expect nothing, I know that I am in the minority of people who play deathmatch like an actual gamemode (which in my opinion is sad) however just please remove the stupid ass timer that adds nothing to this gamemode other than annoy anybody who has to encounter it. Please. Please. Please.
