When can you confidently say your opinion is correct?

Because I am sure you guys might've also experienced that something you firmly believed in and thought is the correct stance got shattered once you understood a different perspective on it. So I am always bothered by this question that when can I be confident that my stance and what I believe is the right thing? Also it's sometimes just our biases blocking our understanding.
