Cherry blossoms as mulch?
Novice gardener here 👋
My neighbor’s cherry blossom tree hangs beautifully over the fence and dropped the flowers on the patio a few weeks ago. As I’ve been meaning to clean them up, they’ve been drying out. I know people don’t reccomend leaves as mulch because they form a dense mat. But I put these in the bucket to pick up, they easily crumbled into very small pieces. Can I use them as mulch in veggie beds? Are there any reasons not to? Last year I used rice hulls from Symbiop but if I can use something free, even better! Thanks!!!
