Can't wait for Season 2!

The major studio services provider is winding down leases at multiple locations and offering pink slips to 70 employees. Studio soundstage operator Hudson Pacific bought Star Waggons as part of a $222 million deal in 2021 and folded it in with its Quixote studio supplier division a year later.

He spent years building a career in Canada’s screen industry, producing TV movies and feature films, and growing Vancouver’s Service Street Pictures Inc. one project at a time.Then in 2025, a format he had once brushed off began to look like a smart bet.

In late 2024, British Columbia increased its tax credits for foreign and local film production as just one building block to set the stage for a rebound in Hollywood activity in Vancouver. The local tax rebate for foreign projects shot locally jumped from 28 percent to 36 percent. It appears to be working.

The two comedies put up solid ratings for the network this season.

The promotional strategy for the fictional, documentary-style film Hunting Matthew Nichols has included posting actual posters like this, including some on poles along Vancouver's Commercial Drive.
