Confused about stars & the rewards program

Confused about stars & the rewards program

I had free points available in a credit card that I use, so I used those to purchase 500 stars, which got me to gold status. I used those 500 stars to buy drinks, and then I added 300 more stars. So when I go into the app, it tells me that I have 300 stars and that I am 2,200 stars away from reserve status.

My question is, don't I get credit for the 500 stars that I previously got and used? So am I technically 1,700 stars away from reserve status or 2,200 stars away from reserve status?

TRUE OPINION: If the casting rumors are true, Nolan will have trouble

Context: A buddy, not a cinephile but watches the big movies in theaters, previous Nolan fanboy, texts me an insta post he had seen somewhere - showing Nolan's casting for Helen and Achilles. His message "If this is true, I probably won't see it."

He left room. And that's the positive part. He CAN be convinced. But the negative part, he's reacted so negatively to the casting rumors.

Now this is a tough conversation, so buckle up. For better or worse, Nolan has an extremely bro-y male fandom that loves his movies. They all loved OPPENHEIMER and thought it was one of the greatest films ever made. They love TDK movies, Inception, Interstellar obviously is the fan favorite, Tenet even, The Prestige you name it.

These fans are also ... slightly against ... how do i wanna phrase it ... alternative casting. You get my drift.

I think this is why THE ODYSSEY will be a test for Nolan - if the rumors are true. I honestly thought fanboy allegiance to him was ironclad and that he could do no wrong in the eyes of his fans and that they would go along with anything and that anything he does would be mega extra successful and that he's unquestionably the single most popular mainstream director in earth and in generations.

Well, all that is true ... until Nolan finds himself on a cultural fault line. I'm on record here on reddit saying A YEAR AGO that The Odyssey would easily blow past a billion at the box office and perhaps even 1.5 billion.

Again, all of this is a what if. IF the casting rumors are true, Nolan will need full scale support from critics to make a case. And the positive part, I think that support will come. I expect this to be a monumentally critically acclaimed film. And I think that just might, might convince the skeptical.

With roids increasingly mainstream, Hollywood stars finally admitting they are not natty

Jeremy Renner is definitely a special case. He's 54 and had a life-threatening injury where he got run over by a snowplough, so he needs all the help in the world. But testosterone used to be such a taboo subject that Hollywood stars claimed all-natural all the time, regardless.

And again, here Renner uses the crutch of his injury and age to say he's taking testosterone. It's a start, but we are not far from actors just straight up admitting that they are taking it to look awesome.

We also had Alan Ritchson and Franco Grillo admitting that they take testosterone.

I know deep lore fans hate movie Hermione. They allege it's a terrible and bland character. We have every proof to the contrary. I would argue Hermione is absolutely one of the most popular characters in the series, if not outright the most popular.

The Hollywood Reporter conducted a poll of 1800 Hollywood professionals about their favorite female character in the movies. Hermione, yes Hermione, all by herself, was voted as the No. 1 favorite character of Hollywood professionals in history. That is staggering and must count for something.

https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/lists/50-best-female-characters-entertainment-industry-survey-results-951483/

Read through any of the fan polls or ranking articles - Hermione often no. 1 or Top 3.

Another proof is that Emma Watson was the ONLY child actor out of the series to go onto to be a movie star in her own right. Yes both Dan and Rupert are working actors but Dan is not a movie star, more of a theater star, and Rupert most certainly isn't one. It was Emma who was getting lead roles, top billed over the likes of Tom Hanks and being top billed in a billion dollar global blockbuster. She voluntarily stepped away, but even today Emma Watson is a name. 100%. Why? Because Hermione was UNQUESTIONABLY popular. If Emma Watson were to come back to movies, she would still command top billing, lead roles, high salary.

One thing I do enjoy as a guilty pleasure is watching Reactions on Youtube. There are like THOUSANDS on youtube at this point and invariably, people love Hermione.

Now I would call myself a deep lore fan too. And I think Hermione is the single best character in the books. And I think Hermione is the single best character in the movies. So I actually don't sense a discrepancy.

So I just want to hear from lore fans - what explains the discrepancy? How come movie audiences, critics (read the reviews), Hollywood professionals, everyone in fact, LOVES Hermione and Emma Watson's portrayal but the lore fans think it is lacking?
