Little backstory: So my grandma passed away in November of last year, but most of her family lives across the county where she’s from. My mom wanted time to herself to grieve and process it, and the fact that a lot of them wouldn’t be able to make it due to short notice and blizzards and flight delays where they’re coming from. So we had the memorial last weekend In April, where everyone could plan for it and be there. I asked my boyfriend to go with me, to which he got off work and went. Then I find out after the memorial he texted his friend saying “remember I said the lady died in February, it was actually November” and said “they’re so weird”. Now what really made me upset was the fact not even a month into dating him when we met two years ago, I drove him over an hour to see his grandma in the hospital for almost a week straight, who ended up passing, and I quit one of my two jobs to be there for him during that time. Now it feels like he’s making a joke to his friends about my grandmas memorial and he’s upset that I brought it up and called him out for being disrespectful saying he was half asleep when he texted that.
