Greetings strangers. I understand the question is a bit strange, but in short, I am a writer, and am looking for insight from people in the same fields as my characters to better understand them. Greetings all. I'm not entirely certain that this is the right place to ask, but I was wondering if there were any accurate books on the history of religious imagery throughout cultures and time. I imagine a book could only discuss one religion at a time, so multiple recommendations around multiple religions would be deeply appreciated. I prioritize the Abrahamics, (though I imagine Islam has little to nothing considering its views on visually depicting God but I may be wrong) but I would also love books regarding the imagery of what is considered holy in non-Abrahamic religions, such as Buddhism or Hinduism.
