Lately I've been wanting to get into fixing game controllers (specifically joysticks with stick drift) and I finally got a soldering iron about a week ago. I'd had this GameCube controller with a very loose stick for a while and literally just took the stick from a broken Wii nunchuck and stuck it on there. It works great, the only problem is I somehow ripped off one of the wires for the rumble motor while putting it back together :/ Anyway I'm open to feedback if you can see anything I did wrong here (I mean it works, so it can't be too bad, right?)

I posted about this the other day, but since then I’ve cleaned it up and I want to know if it can be saved. I pretty much just gave it a hose down with the shower head (outside water doesn’t work) and sprayed it down with isopropyl alcohol afterwards. I also brushed down some of the more accessible parts and I’ve set a fan going to help it dry quicker. I’m going to leave it for a few days at least before I even attempt to turn it on. Basically all I want to know is what to look out for and if the rust and any leftover dirt will cause problems.
