Only 1 month into my first job and already thinking of applying elsewhere
I’m currently working in sales at a micro company and it’s only been around a month, but I’ve already been thinking of applying to bigger corporations for more long-term growth and a more structured environment.
The thing is, I’m not sure if I’m just adjusting or if the job genuinely isn’t for me. I’ve been feeling uncomfortable lately because I feel overly monitored by some seniors, and it’s been affecting how I feel at work overall.
I’m early in my career, so I’m overthinking if leaving this early would look bad to future employers. At the same time, I also don’t want to stay somewhere that already feels mentally draining this soon.
Another factor is that leaving during probationary period would also mean I’d have to shoulder certain company-related penalties, so I’m trying to think carefully before making a decision.
Would it be a bad idea to start applying to bigger companies already while still employed? Has anyone here left a job within probationary period and still turned out okay career-wise?
