been lurking this sub like 6 months trying to figure out what replaces my old Husq. read basically every "mower keeps getting stuck" thread I could find. one pattern shows up over and over.

its almost never firmware. its almost never the wire. its drive layout vs the specific failure mode of the yard.

RWD with front caster (most Husqs, Worx, Navimow i110). gets stuck in dips, soft spots near sprinklers, anywhere the front drops first. drive wheels spin in back while the caster sinks. physics, not software. if your stuck alerts cluster near driveway transitions or watering zones, this is you.

AWD / 4WD (LUBA 2 AWD, Husq 435X, Navimow X4, Worx Vision 4WD). solves traction but not turning. people still post stuck threads, just different reasons (roots, wedged in gaps). also $1500-3000 which is a lot if your yard is flat.

FWD + rear caster (smaller field, the one I keep seeing is the Goalker H3 Pro on KS). weight sits over driven wheels so they grip first when the front drops. logic checks out for dip/soft-ground specifically. unproven, no shipped reviews yet.

what I dont see enough: people asking which failure mode they actually have before recommending stuff. "get the AWD" works if your yard is sloped. its overkill if you're just dropping the front into the same 2 driveway dips.

curious if the long-time owners here would push back. anything I'm missing?

EDIT: yeah I know "100" is a rough estimate, didn't actually count. point stands tho. also forgot to mention Mammotion Mini 2 AWD is in the AWD bucket too.
