Online books E-reader

Hello,

I have a Kindle e-reader. I discovered that my local library offers e-book loans, but they aren’t compatible with Kindle. You can see this at the following link: https://asuivrelillemetropole.biblioondemand.com/blog-view/11/mode-demploi/24/liseuse .

I’ve been wanting to build a small e-reader just for fun and to learn new things, and because I love the designs of metal boxes, like candy boxes. I’d love to use one to create one.

Through my local library, I also have access to websites where I can read manga and comics online. Being able to read them on my e-reader would definitely be useful.

So I think what I’m looking for is actually closer to a small computer with an e-ink screen. Unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll be able to use it unless it’s connected to the internet, right? And I won’t be able to do without a keyboard. Too bad: it takes up space...

This is my first project of this kind, so I’m open to any advice, whether it’s about features, the hardware and software to use, or the type of case and size you’d recommend.

Thanks for your help; I can’t wait to get started on this adventure!
