For thirty-five years, King Crispin Ember has ruled the woods with a steady hand and a heavy heart. Today was meant to be a celebration - the 35th Jubilee - and you were there not as subjects, but as honored guests. Whether you grew up in the practice yards with Princess Rania or shared a bottle of wine with the King in his private solar, you are the few he trusts.
But when the lights failed at the height of the gala, the celebration turned to ash. The Princess is gone. In her place, a single Violet Rose pinned to the throne by a blackened dagger.
The House of Neadović, the exiled kin of the late Queen Isabella, has returned to claim what they believe is theirs. Led by the vengeful Revazi Neadović and guarded by the infamous Violet Hulks, the kidnappers have vanished into the wilds.
The King is paralyzed by grief and political red tape. He cannot send the army without sparking a civil war. He needs you - the friends of the family - to strike fast, move quietly, and bring Rania home before the violet rose withers.
