The problem is watu wengi huona clips za “I made $5,000 in one week” then wakijaribu for 3 days nothing happens wanaquit instantly.

Mimi nilianza na zero clue. Literally nilikuwa na bundles paid WIFI na pesa za mjengo, old laptop ama Wacha niseme ilikuwa desktop with attached keyboard to it na pressure ya life tu ndo ilikuwa above all.

First couple of weeks zilikuwa very rough bana, life ilikuwa inanipiga uppercut mbaya sana. Unajifunza vitu mingi, unaona wengine wakipost wins unafeel uko nyuma. Sometimes unakaa hapo usiku 2am ukishangaa kama hii kitu inamake sense kweli.

Kidogo kidogo things zinaanza kuconnect na speed ya konokono.

Unapata small task/gig online.

Mtu anakulipa kitu kidogo masaa nyingine Hadi $0.1 dollar. Unaanza kuona unaeza save za mazda.

Unarealize kumbe pesa ya internet si story za kina Onyango Tate, Kenyan and Chuka prince na wengine.

Na funniest thing watu wengi wenye wanakucheka saa hii ndio hao hao watakuuliza “bro unaeza nionyesha vile unaearn online?” once things start moving

I think the hardest part si skill hata. Ni surviving that phase yenye hakuna results but unaendelea kujituma. Mwanzo saa hizo Nairobi life( the scenerio in my case) inaweza kufanya mtu achoke mentally fr. So when something finally starts working ata kama ni small win ina-hit different.

Anyone else hapa ameanza kuona online space ikibadilisha things slowly ama ni mimi tu. Of course njia nilionyeshwa na mtu ,kumake it alone is possible but you may just give up......

Na the funniest part ni everyone still wants the results of a good relationship lakini effort iko on and off kama hii serikali.

Unapata mtu anakutext vizuri for 2 days straight, unadhani things are finally aligning boom, anapotea kama fare ya mwisho ya jioni.

Sasa unajiuliza hii ni relationship ama ni situationship yenye hakuna syllabus?

Maybe niko harsh kidogo, but sometimes it feels like watu wanataka connection bila responsibility and giving it all like they are suppose to do.

Ama ni pressure ya life Nairobi inafanya watu washindwe kucommit properly for love and relationships?

Genuinely curious, relationships siku hizi zinahitaji nini exactly? Consistency ama vibes tu ama watu wachapieni mechi wakisonga?

This has been bothering me since I started being serious with my life.

I wake up with plans every day and even write things down on sticky notes papers sometimes. Then the day just goes.

You’re on your phone a bit, you try to learn something, maybe watch a few videos “for research”, check messages, small small things, read some political or financial news.

By evening you’re tired, so it feels like you did something but when I actually ask myself what I achieved, it’s honestly hard to point at anything solid.

I don’t know if it’s a lack of discipline or just how things are now with constant distractions.This is starting to feel like I’m confusing movement with progress.

Does anyone else ever feel like this?

I’ve been deep in this make money online/gigs na hata tasks space for a while now though huwa sijaingia na kichwa mzima mzima.

Something feels off na huwa watu wafeel kuisema but I stand to be corrected. Most of the time mtu akisema “I made money doing X on platform/site Y”… they never show the full picture. Leave alone gatekeepers.

Like: How long it actually took, how many times they failed and if they already had an advantage moreso on IT related projects.

Meanwhile, you try the same thing and nothing happens for weeks. Kama uko unlucky inaeza kuwa hata by months.

It makes you start questioning yourself like maybe you’re the problem ama hujaonyesha what you are to be doing.

I’m starting to think that maybe we’re just not being told the full story of what online work means while you are in Kenya.

I’ve noticed something with us. People will struggle in silence mpaka things get really bad… then ndio maybe they speak up (or sometimes they don’t at all).

But the moment someone asks for help early, kuna hii feeling ya “huyu hana nguvu.”

Why though? Because if we’re being honest, life sahii si mchezo. Everyone is carrying something.

I’m starting to think being open earlier could actually save people a lot of stress ama maybe I’m missing something?

No one prepares you for this Nairobi city mentally.

Not even the money part… hiyo unajua tu itakuwa struggle kidogo. But the mental side? That one hits different.

You can be doing “okay” on paper paying rent, eating, moving around but still feel like you’re constantly behind in life.

Everywhere you look, people seem ahead. Online everyone is winning. In real life, watu wako silent.

Unapata uko tu tired but you can’t even explain why.

Does Nairobi do this to everyone or ni mimi tu?

I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately.

In Kenya ukikosa pesa, watu hawataangalia system… watakuangalia wewe.

Like you’re lazy. Like you didn’t try hard enough.

But rent imepanda, food imepanda, jobs haziko, biashara zimekuwa ngumu… yet somehow the blame still lands on the individual.

Unapata mtu anajituma sana, but things just don’t work out — and instead of support, wanapewa lectures.

At what point do we admit maybe it’s not just “mindset” or “hard work”?

Maybe kuna kitu bigger iko off?

Or am I overthinking this?

Nimehustle so hard to acquire an HP laptop, 5G Airtel wifi , na pia nko na a lot of free time. Shida sasa ni , I need at least guidance on how to make money online.
