new battery dead after a few days?
my car is a push to start (2020 buick encore gx) and i recently just when to have my brakes checked out, i drove it to and from the shop on friday 5/8 and haven’t driven it since then, now 5/11. my battery was new from the dealership around late december early january and i haven’t had any problems with it since then. i go to start my car this morning and the brake keeps coming back up not allowing my car to start. it gets stuck in the limbo where the radio and everything works with the car not running. my window buttons start clicking and all these messages start popping up on my dash about battery dead, battery save mode activated, change air filter, some crazy code, the whole nine yards. i turn it off and try again and the car is just dead, won’t turn on, nothing. i set all my overhead lights to manual so nothing turns on when i open the car door or anything that could’ve been left on for the duration of me not driving. any advice or answers as to why or what to do? obviously ill probably just have to go buy another battery and have it installed but is there any reason as to why it died so quickly with it being new?
