For context it’s getting added to ps plus monthly and ALL things considered this games rating is NOT bout to go up

So if a movie is mastered at 4000/10000 nits (or even 1000 but a lot of scenes are above 1000 like 2000 nits) and my display can only handle 1200 nits should I use dynamic tone mapping (not Dolby vision btw just basic dynamic tone mapping) or should I use hgig? which one would give me a better looking result that’s more similar to the creators intent

So for context we were fighting that team down there and then the horizon pushed after shooting the valk I then proceed to pushed down with them and hard peek, then got counter peeked and then healed and then got jumped from on top which I think neither of us heard, horizon complained to me that I “didn’t smoke” after i peeked and that they “had no smokes” I’m trying to improve as a bang with 1300 kills and I’m wondering what I could have done better in this situation and what mistakes I made. Also this horizon was good I think they were pred and also streaming and the previous I game I played with them I got 500 damage and they got 3000 so I know they’re probably right but I want to know how I should’ve done it
