okay im gna try to keep this as short as possible and im making this acc PURELY cuz we follow eachother on reddit and i CANT post on that acc..
so there is this girl in my class, and i like her very much, and i've been crushing HARD on her for the past 2 and a half years, but we only started getting closer this year because we didn't talk at all last year and 2 years ago she well.. hated me, to say the least, lol. i was abt to give up on her but i think MAYBE slightly she likes me! but im told i have delusional tendencies so maybe id ask reddit to confirm these lol
first is, during christmas, we had a party. i asked her to gift exchange a few days prior, and she said yes. i got her a vinyl of three cheers by mcr, aka her favorite album, and she got me a cd player, because and i quote, "you mentioned you really want to play the records you have but you can't so i got this", anyways, there's this trend on the album where you put the cover in front of your faces and it's kind of soft launch(?) if you would say that. well, my friend (my wingman) asked if we should take that photo and we did, and according to my friend her hands were shaking, ive never seen her hands shake before, so idk if this is a thing or smth. after that, we took a few photos with our faces and stuff like that, and after the party, she only
posted that photo of us doing the trend, i mean she reposted a few from others but she ONLY posted mine
also, a few days before my birthday, she asked me about my guitar settings, if it had distortion or not, (btw we didn't have a convo that led to this point, she just came up and asked me) and i answered her, "no, but those pedals are really cool," or something like that. and she was like "pedals? okay!!!" and on my birthday i REALY got a pedal from her and i was really surprised because these things cost a lot. and she gave me a card, and one of the sentences was like "whenever i hear good music i wanna share it with you!!" which probably IS platonic until i rmb one of my friends asked her what makes her think of her crush and she was like "i think of her when its something music related" like is this correlated? i know for a fact i'm the only one who ever talks about music w her, so idk. Also, she wrote like "youre the coolest person ive ever met" which IN MY OPINION would be something id say to hide my crippling crush because I DID SAY THAT TO HER BEFORE so. also, she said she really admired my musical talent, not just on the card, but she says that a lot.
i also made a nickname for her, and she liked it a lot she asked me if she could make it her alt account name. there was also this reel which was something related to mcr, "im so demolition lovers about you" i was next to her when she saw this and she showed it to me, and i knew she reposted this reel before (because i stalk her reposts.) and then after that day i checked it again and she RE reposted the reel like is this a sign or do people just do this??? and the day she changed her nickname to my nickname for her she put "im so demolition lovers about you" as her caption. like... idk
and, the other day we had a music competition, like an interclass singing competition if you will, and i was the pianist. the day before the competition she sent me a message basically encouraging me, and that i played better than a lot of people, and she trusted me with the piano.
im saying these are all so platonic, but i have a SLIVER of hope that it's me, because my best friend asked her in november or so, and she said that her crush and her "werent that close but i want to get closer" and that basically sums up our friendship then, and that my best friend was "close to her", and my best friend only has a small friend circle with most of her friends being from my crush's friend group.
these could all be platonic but at the same time...idk, like i just have a feeling and i hope my 2.5 years of yearning finally gets blessed 😭😭 what do you guys think?
